Our Minister
We are currently in search for our next called minister. We anticipate a period of 1-3 years of "transitional ministry," before finding our next settled minister (who might be the same as our transitional minister!). Are you the right candidate? Please contact us.
Our Transitional Minister: Reverend Tori Rosati
Reverend Tori Rosati joined First Parish as our Contract Minister in December of 2023. Tori received her Master of Divinity from Boston University's School of Theology, and prior to coming to First Parish, she served as a Chaplain Intern at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA, Intern and Sabbatical minister at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Haverhill, MA, and completed a certificate program in Religion and Conflict Transformation through the Boston Theological Institute.
Tori came to Unitarian Universalism 13 years ago, as a member of the First Universalist Church of Essex, MA. where she was an active lay leader with many roles over the years. Tori brings a spirit of creativity and possibility to her vocation and ministry. She believes that faith communities have a unique and vital role to play in fostering transformation in both our inner lives and wider world.
Originally from Western Massachusetts, Tori graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a BA in English and concentration in creative writing. Before her call to ministry, her professional work was in the non-profit sector where she supported and led the growth and development of organizations with missions ranging from environmental education and justice to social services.
Tori lives in Ipswich, MA with her spouse and their two children where they enjoy road trips around New England for camping, hiking, and skiing, gathering with friends, and spending time by the ocean.
